    Aberdeenshire elects 70 councillors in 19 multi-member wards by the single transferable vote; about 204,633 people are on its electoral roll.

    In May 2022 the Conservatives won 26 seats, the SNP 21 and the Liberal Democrats 14. Under the single transferable vote majorities are rare, and most councils are run by coalitions or minority administrations.

    On today's Holyrood polls our model has the SNP largest on 21 of 70 seats, 15 short of a majority.
