Tortosa is a municipality in the province of Tarragona with 33,890 inhabitants, the 5th largest of its 184 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 CM came first with 42.2% of the vote and 10 seats; MT-PSC-CP was second with 7. 56.2% of the 22,883 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
