Eibar is a municipality in the province of Gipuzkoa with 27,282 inhabitants, the 4th largest of its 88 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSE-EE (PSOE) came first with 36.4% of the vote and 8 seats; EH BILDU was second with 6. 59.7% of the 20,583 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
