Raw figures
Every French poll's notice at the Commission des sondages must set out how it was weighted. Two pollsters, OpinionWay and Cluster17, also print the raw answers before weighting. They pull in opposite directions: OpinionWay's raw figure for the RN candidate is usually above its published one, Cluster17's below. With only two pollsters and no raw history before 2017 to test against, we show them rather than build on them (in the UK, raw figures from several pollsters over four elections are the starting point of our projection).
