Amposta is a municipality in the province of Tarragona with 21,807 inhabitants, the 10th largest of its 184 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 EA-ERC-AM came first with 46.4% of the vote and 11 seats, an absolute majority; CM was second with 7. 59.8% of the 14,655 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.

On today's national polls our projection keeps EA-ERC-AM on 13 seats, a majority, which it holds in 95% of our simulations.
