Ingenio is a municipality in the province of Las Palmas with 31,932 inhabitants, the 9th largest of its 34 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 FD-NC came first with 35.1% of the vote and 9 seats; PSOE was second with 5. 57.2% of the 25,797 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
