Pallejà is a municipality in the province of Barcelona with 11,593 inhabitants, the 77th largest of its 311 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 EP - C came first with 39.9% of the vote and 8 seats; PSC-CP was second with 4. 62% of the 8,929 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
