Samadet is a commune in Landes with 922 registered voters, the 84th largest of the département's 327 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 70.5% of them voted, more than the 63.7% across Landes, and Samadet pour vous et avec vous won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 29.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25%, Others 14.3%. France Unbowed did 13 points worse here than across France.
