Dieulefit is a commune in Drôme with 2,862 registered voters, the 27th largest of the département's 362 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 78.8% of them voted, more than the 57.8% across Drôme, and Dieulefit en commun won 18 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 38.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.4%, National Rally 12.3%. France Unbowed did 17 points better here than across France.
