Palneca is a commune in Corse-du-Sud with 334 registered voters, the 55th largest of the département's 124 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 85% of them voted, more than the 69.4% across Corse-du-Sud, and PALNECA won 9 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 39.7%, Reconquête 17.6%, Republicans 11.5%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 22 points worse here than across France.
