Tacoronte is a municipality in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 24,592 inhabitants, the 10th largest of its 54 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE came first with 18.7% of the vote and 5 seats; CCA was second with 4. 60.4% of the 20,106 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
