Silleda is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra with 8,860 inhabitants, the 28th largest of its 61 municipalities. Its council has 13 seats, and 7 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSDEG-PSOE came first with 45.6% of the vote and 6 seats; PP was second with 5. 71.3% of the 7,255 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
