Águilas is a municipality in the province of Murcia with 36,403 inhabitants, the 7th largest of its 45 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSOE came first with 47.3% of the vote and 11 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 7. 62.9% of the 26,568 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
On today's national polls our projection gives no list a majority: PSOE would be largest on 9 of 21.
