Mejorada del Campo is a municipality in the province of Madrid with 23,897 inhabitants, the 33rd largest of its 179 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE came first with 44.2% of the vote and 11 seats, an absolute majority; PP was second with 6. 65.3% of the 16,996 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
