Zarautz is a municipality in the province of Gipuzkoa with 23,101 inhabitants, the 5th largest of its 88 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 EAJ-PNV came first with 41.4% of the vote and 10 seats; EH BILDU was second with 9. 63% of the 18,304 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
On today's national polls our projection keeps EH BILDU on 11 seats, a majority, which it holds in 60% of our simulations.
