Galdakao is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia with 29,285 inhabitants, the 9th largest of its 112 municipalities. Its council has 21 seats, and 11 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 EH BILDU came first with 36.7% of the vote and 9 seats; EAJ-PNV was second with 6. 61.3% of the 23,903 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
