Etxebarri is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia with 11,780 inhabitants, the 20th largest of its 112 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 L.V.P. came first with 67.6% of the vote and 12 seats, an absolute majority; EAJ-PNV was second with 2. 62.3% of the 9,061 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
