Alonsotegi is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia with 2,960 inhabitants, the 46th largest of its 112 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 EH BILDU came first with 52.2% of the vote and 7 seats, an absolute majority; EAJ-PNV was second with 4. 71.8% of the 2,339 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
