Voisins-le-Bretonneux is a commune in Yvelines with 8,842 registered voters, the 37th largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63.4% of them voted, more than the 54.4% across Yvelines, and the list led by Alexandra Rosetti won 24 of the council's 33 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 39.4%, France Unbowed 15.7%, Republicans 10.8%. National Rally did 14 points worse here than across France.
