Maurepas is a commune in Yvelines with 13,779 registered voters, the 20th largest of the département's 259 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 53.3% of them voted, close to the 54.4% across Yvelines, and ENSEMBLE, MAUREPAS AVANCE ! won 29 of the council's 35 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.7%, France Unbowed 25.7%, National Rally 14.4%. National Rally did 9 points worse here than across France.
