Fontenoy-le-Château is a commune in Vosges with 363 registered voters, the 152nd largest of the département's 506 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 78.5% of them voted, more than the 59.9% across Vosges, and UNIS POUR FONTENOY won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.1%, France Unbowed 15.9%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
