About Ampus

Ampus is a commune in Var with 870 registered voters, the 117th largest of the département's 153 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.9% of them voted, more than the 58% across Var, and Tous Ensemble Pour Ampus won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 28.7%, France Unbowed 21.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 16.9%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 11 points worse here than across France.
