Vallangoujard is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 489 registered voters, the 116th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 77.5% of them voted, more than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and the list led by Philippe Fabreges won 12 of the council's 15 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 30.1%, National Rally 25.1%, France Unbowed 14.9%. France Unbowed did 7 points worse here than across France.
