Montfermeil is a commune in Seine-Saint-Denis with 13,924 registered voters, the 27th largest of the département's 39 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 41.5% of them voted, fewer than the 46.7% across Seine-Saint-Denis, and TOUS UNIS POUR MONTFERMEIL won 29 of the council's 35 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 41.1%, National Rally 20.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.5%. France Unbowed did 19 points better here than across France.
