Samois-sur-Seine is a commune in Seine-et-Marne with 1,814 registered voters, the 114th largest of the département's 506 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63% of them voted, more than the 51.6% across Seine-et-Marne, and Samois, une nouvelle dynamique won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 36.3%, France Unbowed 20.3%, National Rally 11.5%. National Rally did 12 points worse here than across France.
