Guignes is a commune in Seine-et-Marne with 2,684 registered voters, the 77th largest of the département's 506 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 52.4% of them voted, close to the 51.6% across Seine-et-Marne, and the list led by Sandra Ballabene won 21 of the council's 27 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 29.6%, France Unbowed 23.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.9%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 7 points worse here than across France.
