Mouxy is a commune in Savoie with 2,053 registered voters, the 36th largest of the département's 273 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.7% of them voted, more than the 59.2% across Savoie, and the list led by Jean-Paul Moret won 14 of the council's 19 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.7%, National Rally 20.6%, France Unbowed 14.2%. France Unbowed did 8 points worse here than across France.
