Bron is a commune in Rhône with 23,191 registered voters, the 9th largest of the département's 266 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 57.2% of them voted, close to the 56.7% across Rhône, and Encore + toujours mieux avec Jérémie BREAUD won 35 of the council's 43 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 32%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.5%, National Rally 14%. France Unbowed did 10 points better here than across France.
