Hayange is a commune in Moselle with 11,341 registered voters, the 7th largest of the département's 724 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 49.3% of them voted, fewer than the 53.8% across Moselle, and La continuité utile won 29 of the council's 33 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 38.6%, France Unbowed 20.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.2%. National Rally did 15 points better here than across France.
