Mortain-Bocage is a commune in Manche with 2,165 registered voters, the 36th largest of the département's 444 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63.2% of them voted, more than the 57.8% across Manche, and un nouvel élan pour mortain-bocage won 23 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 35.1%, National Rally 23.5%, France Unbowed 14.5%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 8 points better here than across France.
