Patay is a commune in Loiret with 1,445 registered voters, the 69th largest of the département's 325 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58.5% of them voted, more than the 53% across Loiret, and ENSEMBLE, CONTINUONS A FAIRE VIVRE PATAY won 17 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 26.9%, France Unbowed 11.1%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
