At the municipal election of March 2026 57.3% of them voted, close to the 56.4% across Loir-et-Cher, and Bien vivre ensemble à Souesmes won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 32.3%, National Rally 29%, Reconquête 10.1%. France Unbowed did 13 points worse here than across France.
