Saint-Jean-Froidmentel is a commune in Loir-et-Cher with 379 registered voters, the 155th largest of the département's 267 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 57.8% of them voted, close to the 56.4% across Loir-et-Cher, and LA COMMUNE D'ABORD won 16 of the council's 16 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 40.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 17.6%, France Unbowed 15.7%. National Rally did 17 points better here than across France.
