Chassal-Molinges is a commune in Jura with 771 registered voters, the 45th largest of the département's 490 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 71.5% of them voted, more than the 57.6% across Jura, and Vous : Notre Priorité won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 34.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 20.6%, France Unbowed 19.9%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
