Saint-Aunès is a commune in Hérault with 3,264 registered voters, the 60th largest of the département's 341 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 65.7% of them voted, more than the 60% across Hérault, and SAINT-AUNÈS PASSIONNÉMENT won 21 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 29.1%, National Rally 24.8%, France Unbowed 18.1%. France Unbowed did 4 points worse here than across France.
