Maraussan is a commune in Hérault with 3,763 registered voters, the 51st largest of the département's 341 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 55.1% of them voted, fewer than the 60% across Hérault, and MARAUSSAN POUR TOUS won 24 of the council's 27 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 37.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.6%, France Unbowed 16.9%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
