Villeneuve-la-Garenne is a commune in Hauts-de-Seine with 13,297 registered voters, the 32nd largest of the département's 36 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 42.5% of them voted, fewer than the 54.6% across Hauts-de-Seine, and Villeneuve, notre ambition won 29 of the council's 35 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 55.7%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.8%, National Rally 10.8%. France Unbowed did 34 points better here than across France.
