Manteyer is a commune in Hautes-Alpes with 455 registered voters, the 53rd largest of the département's 162 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 80.4% of them voted, more than the 66.1% across Hautes-Alpes, and ENSEMBLE POUR DEMAIN won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 29.6%, France Unbowed 26.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 12.9%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 15 points worse here than across France.
