Escalquens is a commune in Haute-Garonne with 5,611 registered voters, the 31st largest of the département's 586 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63.4% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Haute-Garonne, and AVEC VOUS POUR ESCALQUENS won 25 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 33%, France Unbowed 22.7%, National Rally 15.1%. National Rally did 8 points worse here than across France.
