Murato is a commune in Haute-Corse with 630 registered voters, the 42nd largest of the département's 236 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 91% of them voted, more than the 68.6% across Haute-Corse, and MURATU SEMPRE - MURATO TOUJOURS won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 24.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 18.4%, Others 16.3%. France Unbowed did 16 points worse here than across France.
