Porte du Ried is a commune in Haut-Rhin with 1,709 registered voters, the 61st largest of the département's 365 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 67.1% of them voted, more than the 51.8% across Haut-Rhin, and Ensemble, avançons pour Porte du Ried ! won 19 of the council's 23 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 30.4%, National Rally 27.7%, France Unbowed 10.5%. France Unbowed did 11 points worse here than across France.
