Montreux-Vieux is a commune in Haut-Rhin with 663 registered voters, the 193rd largest of the département's 365 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 70.7% of them voted, more than the 51.8% across Haut-Rhin, and Ensemble pour "L'avenir de Montreux-Vieux" won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 42%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.1%, Reconquête 10.8%. National Rally did 19 points better here than across France.
