Macouria is a commune in Guyane with 8,163 registered voters, the 6th largest of the département's 22 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 43.3% of them voted, fewer than the 48.6% across Guyane, and MACOURIA 2026 LA POURSUITE DE L'ENGAGEMENT won 27 of the council's 33 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 54.6%, National Rally 20.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 8.8%. France Unbowed did 33 points better here than across France.
