Rions is a commune in Gironde with 1,155 registered voters, the 174th largest of the département's 534 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 79.6% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Gironde, and POUR RIONS, AVEC VOUS ! won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 26%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.9%, National Rally 22.6%. France Unbowed did 4 points better here than across France.
