Langon is a commune in Gironde with 4,924 registered voters, the 49th largest of the département's 534 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 59.6% of them voted, close to the 58.7% across Gironde, and GUILLEM 2026 won 25 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 27%, National Rally 22.7%, France Unbowed 21.5%.
