About Gujan-Mestras

Gujan-Mestras is a commune in Gironde with 19,043 registered voters, the 9th largest of the département's 534 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.3% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Gironde, and the list led by Xavier Paris won 26 of the council's 35 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 31.9%, National Rally 23.4%, France Unbowed 14.4%. France Unbowed did 8 points worse here than across France.
