Caplong is a commune in Gironde with 152 registered voters, the 482nd largest of the département's 534 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 78.3% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Gironde, and Caplong ensemble won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 17.9%, France Unbowed 13.4%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
