Aignan is a commune in Gers with 639 registered voters, the 39th largest of the département's 458 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 78.4% of them voted, more than the 66.1% across Gers, and L'AVENIR SE CONSTRUIT ENSEMBLE won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 23.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.9%, France Unbowed 20.1%. Others did 7 points better here than across France.
