Gajan is a commune in Gard with 632 registered voters, the 170th largest of the département's 349 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 74.1% of them voted, more than the 59.4% across Gard, and GAJAN, L'ESPRIT VILLAGE won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 34.9%, France Unbowed 20.5%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.1%. National Rally did 11 points better here than across France.
