Congénies is a commune in Gard with 1,409 registered voters, the 95th largest of the département's 349 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.6% of them voted, more than the 59.4% across Gard, and Agir ensemble pour Congénies won 15 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 24.3%, France Unbowed 22.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 21.9%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 6 points worse here than across France.
